Daily Lenten Journey with Jesus
** You can sign up to receive a pdf of our Daily Lenten Journey with Jesus devotional guide at any point during the Lenten season (March 6th – April 16th). Sign up to receive a PDF of our guided, daily Lenten journal. Journey with Jesus through the season of Lent by participating on your own time in this simple daily practice of reflection on select stories from the Gospels with guided journaling prompts. We will email a pdf of the journal and physical copies will be available for pick up after the Sunday gatherings on February 27th, and after the Ash Wednesday gathering on March 2nd.

Lenten Prayer Nights
** Feel free to simply drop-in for Lenten Prayer Nights any Tuesday during Lent (March 8th – April 12th) that you’re available! In fact, signing up for Lenten Prayer Nights isn’t required unless you will be needing childcare. Join us on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm for a time of liturgical prayer, reflection, and quiet in the Sanctuary, followed by an optional space for dialogue afterwards. This is open to anyone and can also function as a supplement to the Daily Lenten Journey with Jesus journaling practice (see Daily Lenten Journey with Jesus sign up form to get access to the journal).
Day/Time: Tuesday evenings, 6:30-7:30pm (3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12)

Adult Sunday School: The Book of Micah
** Feel free to simply drop-in for Adult Sunday School any Sunday during Lent (March 6th – April 10th) that you’re available! In fact, signing up for Adult Sunday School isn’t required, just show up! Join us at the church on Sunday mornings from 9-10am for our inaugural Adult Sunday School! We’ll be studying the Old Testament prophetic book of Micah together, in small group discussions in tandem with our Lenten sermon series. No prior knowledge of the text necessary and no homework during the week – all discussion content will be in response to select commentary excerpts made available in each session. Each session will consist of a brief introduction to the weekly passage, individual time to reflect on a short commentary excerpt over the weekly text, and small group discussion over these readings.
Dates: Sunday mornings, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10

Observing Lent through Film
This sign up form will close on March 8th. Join us for a four-session online series exploring themes related to the season of Lent through film. We will also learn to watch movies as a spiritual practice by looking at three films with a critical eye for the ways each film illuminates and expands the understanding of the Lenten season and our faith. Session one will be an introductory discussion about viewing films through the lens of faith. Sessions two through four will be watching films together online followed by a 20-30 minute discussion. These are all films that are readily available on major streaming platforms.

Solitude Retreat at Conception Abbey
This sign up form will close on March 14th. Sign up here to join us on March 26th at Conception Abbey for a Saturday of prayerful reflection over the questions, challenges and opportunities in our lives. We will have two sessions of loosely directed prayerful solitude on Saturday morning and afternoon, as well as opportunities to practice intentional silence and scripture-prayer in a group. There will also be an optional open social time on Friday evening for games and informal discussion, as well as breakfast and lunch together or alone. Indicate below if you would like to carpool from the church after work on Friday (depending on interest, carpooling may be available for vaccinated persons).
Due to current pandemic conditions, we are asking that participants at Jacob’s Well gatherings be masked while indoors. If weather permits, we will attempt to hold our three group gatherings outdoors without masks.

Women’s Discussion Series: The Psalms
This sign up form will close on March 23rd. Join a small group of women from Jacob’s Well online (via Zoom) as we discuss the theology and literature of the Psalms. Each week we will watch a couple 10-15 minute presentations by a Dr. Sandra Richter with small group discussion and prayer together. There will also be a live, in-person social event TBA.
(This series will cover the second half of Dr. Sandra Richter’s “The Epic of Eden: Psalms” series. Purchasing the book is recommended, but not mandatory for participation. You can purchase the book online here. (If finances are a challenge, let us know and we will arrange to get you a copy of the book if you like.)

Men’s Morning of Service & Street Tacos

Family Lent Box
This Lent season, our whole church will be exploring the Old Testament book of Micah. We have created a resource box based on Micah for you to journey through Lent at home with your preschoolers and/or grade school children. In your box, you will find an introduction to Lent, a paper chain to assemble with 46 links – each with a short, active way to connect with God each day (or as often as you choose), and the needed supplies. If you’d like a Lent Box for your family, please sign up by midnight of Wednesday, February 23rd. Lent Boxes will be available for pick-up on Sunday, February 27th and on Ash Wednesday evening, March 2nd.
