Local Partnerships

Jacob’s Well is committed to serving not only those within our church walls, but those outside of our church community. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get connected and ways that you can help impact the greater Kansas City area!

Argentine Neighborhood Food Distribution

Jacob’s Well is partnering with Youthfront’s expanding ministry and presence in the Argentine Neighborhood, a largely immigrant community in Kansas City, KS. There are a number of ways to get involved:

Shared Table – The shared table experience is a pathway to foster relationships across social and cultural boundaries in order to “know” the other and be known as we live out the work of reconciliation together. Families living in the Argentine neighborhood would like to invite you to share a meal with them in their home. More info and signup genius here.

Snack Shack KC – The Snack Shack is an after school hangout space for students in the Argentine neighborhood. There are needs to serve as a cashier, friend or youth leader as they launch a new youth group out. Download this PDF for more info, and contact Jason Flewellen (jflewellen@youthfront.com), to get involved.

Food Distribution
The second Wednesday of each month neighborhood volunteers come together to serve 250-350 local families at the Franklin Center. Harvesters drops off around 12 pallets of food and everyone gets to work sorting food and serving other neighbors. It’s a team effort and a lot of fun! Stop by some 2nd Wednesday to help out, receive some food, or both! Shifts are from 12:30pm – 2:30pm or 2:30pm – 4:30pm, or stop by for as long as you can! No need to sign up to serve, just show up!

Second Saturdays | Avenue Of Life

Join others from Jacob’s Well on the Second Saturday of each month from 9am – 11am as we volunteer at Avenue of Life ministries in KCK. These gatherings are set up as an opportunity for individuals and groups at Jacob’s Well to engage in service together as a way to build community while partnering with the ministry at Avenue of Life to serve immigrants, homeless and low-income families in the KCK area.  We hope to see you on the next Second Saturday! Click here to sign up to participate in Second Saturdays.
