Jacob’s Well is committed to meeting the needs of justice in our community, our city, and around the world. Our local outreach is focused on the Argentine community in Kansas City and our global outreach is focused upon the construction and development of Asilong Christian High School in Pokot, Kenya.
Partner with our friends in the Kansas City, Kansas community of Argentine.
We host food distribution events each month that provide food to hundreds of households through a partnership with Harvesters. For more information contact Emily Rietema.
Jacob’s Well has partnered with the Asilong community in West Pokot, Africa.
It started with a project to build ten water wells to a drought stricken region.
We are now working to continue to develop Asilong Christian High School
LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED? HERE’S WHAT’S CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:
Our Harvester’s food distribution events happen on the second Wednesday of the month from 1PM-4:30PM. These events are very important for many food vulnerable people in Argentine. This is a drive-up service where pre-portioned food is placed in clients’ vehicles after it has been sorted into individual portions for each family.
Join us at Avenue of Life in KCK on the Second Saturday of each month from 9am-11am. Avenue of Life aims to facilitate the journey from hand-outs (emergency relief) in crisis, to hand-ups (individual betterment) for those ready to rise above their circumstances, to hand-offs (community development) to indigenous leaders of a transformed community in KCK.
For questions regarding local justice initiatives, contact Emily Rietema.
