Help support New Roots for Refugees by participating in this CSA opportunity to receive weekly fresh produce for 4-weeks. Each week in your Farmer’s Choice Bag you can expect fresh, delicious produce grown following sustainable agricultural practices by New Roots for Refugees’ farmer Gasaya Musekura in Kansas City, KS.
Although the bag will contain produce that the farmer chooses, you can generally expect to find an allium (like onion, garlic, scallion, or leeks), an herb (such as mint, cilantro, basil, or dill), a green (a bag of lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, etc.), and one or two more surprise items like a pint of cherry tomatoes, a bunch of radishes, a box of potatoes or any other fresh veggies of the week.
Order a small share of produce for $10 per week to receive 2-4 items per week or a large share for $20 per week to receive 5-7 items. You will pay for the full 4-weeks of produce upfront- either $40 for the small share option or $80 for the large share option. You can choose to pay now through this form or you can pay in person with cash or card on the first day of pickup, Sunday, August 30th.
Your fresh produce will be available for pickup weekly on Sundays (September 6 – September 27) anytime between 8:00am- 12:00pm at Gusaya’s Famer’s Market Stand (located in the east parking lot off of 42nd & Wyoming).
Pickup Dates/ Times: Sundays, September 6 – September 27 from 8:00am-12:00pm at Gusaya’s Famer’s Market Stand (located in the east parking lot off of 42nd & Wyoming)
