Changes in Mask Protocol – Sunday Worship

A message from Pastor Tim Keel…

Since the beginning of the Pandemic, Jacob’s Well has been following the guidance of the CDC, the Kansas City Health Department, instructions from the Mayor’s office, as well as our own convictions for keeping our community safe and healthy.

As of 12:00pm yesterday (Friday, May 14), the Mask Mandate has been lifted for fully vaccinated citizens in Kansas City. This directive follows that of the CDC, which rescinded masking and distancing requirements for fully vaccinated people on Thursday, May 13.

Beginning this Sunday, May 16, Jacob’s Well will no longer require masks to be worn indoors during worship for people who are fully vaccinated. People who are not yet fully vaccinated or are immunocompromised should still wear masks indoors, in keeping with guidance from the CDC. Additionally, anyone who is not comfortable being unmasked indoors should feel free to continue to wear a mask.

Kids Community and Youth Ministry will continue to require masks for both kids and teens, as well as for volunteers when meeting indoors. However, Kids Community will be meeting outdoors except when weather doesn’t permit it. When meeting outdoors, masks will not be required for kids or volunteers.

We’re excited to take this next step with you in safely returning to life as “normal” and hope to see you live in person with us for worship soon!

Grace and peace,
Tim
