Better Together Backyard Bible Club

The church has left the building and moved into the neighborhood! LOVE IN ACTION! This year, we are excited about an alternative to VBS that we’re calling “Better Together Backyard Bible Club” for your family, neighbors and friends!

What are we gonna do? Games, water play, science, skits, and snacks that teach our kids how God made ALL people in His image, His heart for ALL people, and His teachings and vision for justice and equality out of the scriptures and the book God’s Very Good Idea by Tillia Newbell.

Backyard Bible Club will kick off with a Reverse Parade at Jacob’s Well on Sunday, July 19, then continue in small groups in your backyard/neighborhood each day the week of July 20-23 for about 1.5 hours, and conclude at Jacob’s Well on Friday evening, July 24, with a Grand Finale Car Expedition!

Our custom-built curriculum is designed for children ages 4 years thru 5th grade and was intended for a group of 2 or more children. We want everyone interested in Backyard Bible Club to participate at a level that feels comfortable to their family. If your family has already chosen to be part of a quarantine “pod” or “quaranTEAM,” then this would be a great opportunity to participate alongside them! If your family has continued to social distance and you do not feel comfortable holding Backyard Bible Club with other families, no problem!
