July 24-29 (Session 8)
Every summer, our middle schoolers (current 5th-7th graders!) spend a week together at Youthfront Camp West. Youthfront is a great opportunity for kids to spend a week of their summer having a blast together while being centered on God. We have spaces reserved on a first come first serve basis, but those spots are only being held until March 1. Register ASAP for Youthfront this summer! Cost: $440*
Youth Room – 11:00AM
Sunday mornings are time for our middle schoolers to worship, connect and learn together and with the entire community. We meet across the street from Jacob’s Well (1501 w 42nd St) on the main level. On the last Sunday of each month, we pause our normal gathering, and join the main worship gathering across the street because we value our students worshipping with the adult community.
Here’s what we are discussing this semester…
The Gospel of John
During the months of January, February and May, we’ll be looking at the Gospel of John and practicing the contemplative practice of Lectio Divina.
In March and April, we’ll pause our Gospel study to engage Lent together. “SEVEN” will discuss 7 disciplines that celebrate God’s faithful presence in our lives.
2016-2017 School Year
Confirmation is an opportunity for 8th graders to take ownership of their faith. We meet monthly throughout the school year, discussing what it means to live part of God’s Story rooted in Jesus Christ. Our 2016-17 dates…
October 9 – Orientation
November 6 – God’s Story
December 11 – My Story
January 17 – God’s Mission
February 19 – My Mission
March 26 – My Life
April 30 – Ceremony & Anointing
Current 8th graders are invited to join the high schoolers this summer for our annual trip to Colorado! We spend three days in Denver serving with various ministries followed by three days in Buena Vista adventuring in the mountains.
