Jacob's Well isn't a church that simply distributes messages. It's an organic, biblical community where people work together to create and sustain a place in space and time where people can live in relationship with God and with one another.
Some of the ways to get involved in our community are:
Being Missional - Find out how we actively participate in the missio Dei (mission of God) when we join Him in His redemptive mission in the world. For more info, check out the Being Missional page.
Corpus - Church happens whenever people join together to pursue authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another. Corpus groups gather in homes around the greater Kansas City area and typically meet regularly between October and May involving 8-15 people who gather for a few hours to share the basic Christian practices of engaging the scriptures, discussing aspects of our faith and for common prayer. Institutes - 2-3 times a year we host about 10 different classes ranging from book studies, to sports-related activities, to cooking or art that run 4-6 weeks. For more info, contact Tim Bridgham.
Second Saturdays - Every month on the second Saturday (9 am - 1 pm) we gather at the church and then go out into the neighborhood to serve, doing odd jobs for people in our community. For more info, check out the blog or contact Joe Davenport.
