God’s desire for us is our wholeness; the Hebrew Scriptures call this shalom. This wholeness incorporates our physical, mental, emotional, and relational being. This is our hope at Jacob’s Well in the way that we participate in pastoral care: to move towards God’s desire for shalom in our brokenness.
There are several ways to access Pastoral Care at Jacob’s Well.
Pastoral Care Support
If you would like to meet with someone on staff in order to have a safe and confidential space to talk and receive prayer, contact Jessi Marcus.
If you are looking for support through our benevolence fund, please fill out this confidential form that is only viewed by the elders who discern the use of the benevolence fund. Each request is considered prayerfully on a case-by-case basis. As the fund is limited, not all who apply will receive aid.
There are two support groups that meet throughout the week at Jacob’s Well that serve not only our church, but also the broader Kansas City Community.
Shame No More
Shame No More is a group of men led by Tom Ryan who are seeking shalom for sexual brokenness or sexual addiction. If you would like more information about this group, please contact Tom Ryan.
The Miracle Group is a Narcotics Anonymous support group that meets on Monday and Friday at 7pm at Jacob’s Well East (1501 W 42nd Street).
